About me

My journey into the world of photography started in my teens, always photographing friends and hoping to catch fun and memorable moments that we could look back and laugh on. It was the beginning of social media with Myspace running the scene and I was proud to pat myself on the back if one of my “Top 8” had my photo as their profile picture. My group of friends coined me their “paparazzi” and had no doubt that I’d get every candid moment whether we were hanging out,  at a party, or even dancing the night away at prom.

Heading into college at the University of South Carolina, my interests and skills evolved and shifted from the friend group and party scene to action and lifestyle. Now Facebook was the trend and I used that platform as a way to challenge my skills and gain feedback. That platform really allowed me to refine my skills, figure out what I really loved to photograph and gain a sense of purpose in my work.

I joke that the tuition for my Psychology degree actually carried more value in my experiences and growth as a young adult, and much of that happened from behind the lens. That time in the South also inspired my big move to the West coast from my home in the suburbs of Philadelphia, PA.

Today I live in San Diego, CA and spend my time shooting surf, lifestyle, portrait, action, adventure and landscape photography. I’d love to collaborate and expand my knowledge and experience if you have an idea… so let’s link up!
